Zee Bangla Mahalayan Special Program (ZBMSP) is a program by the government for developing the youth of the state. ZBMSP has been running for the past 8 years and has managed to bring in over 10,000 students every year.
The special program at Zee Bangla’s Mahalayan auditorium on Friday, March 1, 2018 consisted of four main programs (two audio-visual events and two live performances) with talks that covered a wide range of topics. Among various programs, the first talk of the evening was held by the renowned scholar Mr. Abhijan Ghosh, who was introduced as “the greatest living Bengali poet” by the editor Shree Taraf, along with his daughter, Shree Taraf, who presented him as an educator. “Abhijan Ghosh…is the greatest living Bengali poet”, Ms. “He deserves that honour. In fact, if there are any other living Bengali poets, Mr. Ghosh is it”, said Ms. Taraf, who was introduced as a researcher and writer.
Ghosh is also the author and editor of several Bengali anthologies including “The Bengali Poets”, “The Bengali Poets: Poem Book Series”, “The Poet’s Way”, “Dharmasan”, “The Bengali Anthology series”, “The Poet of Contemporary India”, and “Poet of Bangladesh”. He was also the first ever recipient of the Indian Academy of Letters Literary Award, given in 1999, for the work “A Poet at Home”. He was also the first Indian to receive the Bangla Academy Award in Literature in 1996, for his book. The second talk of the evening was given by Mr. Partha Chatterjee, one of the finest Bengali poets from the country, who was introduced as a philosopher. He was referred to as an “inspirational” poet, as his works, the best of his time, were dedicated to the problems of the society.
Chatterjee also won the N. Govindarajan Award for Bengali poetry, in 2003. In the third talk of the evening, a poet from Rajshahi University was introduced, who was referred to as a scholar of literature.

“The way the mother of an Adishakti should be born.
When the son of an Adishakti-based activist is born in a village, he becomes the “mother of the Adishakti”.
Such is the way the Adishakti have traditionally been treated.
A Mahanayaka activist named Mahalaya is born in a village; his mother is called Mahalaya because she was the mother of an Adishakti and is the woman who should be born as the mother.
In traditional Adishakti-based society, it is common for the mother of an Adishakti to be called Mahalaya and for the son of an Adishakti to be called Mahalaya. The Mahalaya has become the mother of an Adishakti, or “The MOTHER of the Adishakti”, because she is the only one to be able to give birth to the Adishakti.
It is the custom, and it is in accordance with Adishakti traditions, to call the Mahalaya the “mother of the Adishakti”.
The Mahalaya is the only person who can give birth to the Adishakti, but that is not the reason for calling the Mahalaya the “mother of the Adishakti”.
The reason is that it is because she is the only “mahalaya” that can give birth to the Adishakti, and we hold her in higher esteem and honor because we are the “mothers” of the Adishakti. This is why we make her the “mother of the Adishakti”.
In traditional Adishakti life, it is an integral part of Adishakti life to give birth to the Adishakti.

She was a great Goddess.
When her head was cut off, she was not afraid.
She had 1000 hands.
In those hands, she was the Goddess Parvati.
Parvati was a powerful Goddess, and she had 1000 eyes.
She had also 1000 hands.
On seeing this, the people of Parvati were full of joy.
‘We all, the people, worship Parvati,’ shouted the people.
