How to Build a Neuromorphic Computer

To get started, read this article in English. Introduction We have been talking about how to get started in learning how to build neuromorphic computing systems. So far, we have only talked about the visionaries, where neural networks with neuromorphic components are used to enable machine learning (ML) models to be trained (that is, trained models are used to generate ML models that can then be used to generate new AI models). However, we do not yet know that how to go about building a neuromorphic computer that can process and use large amounts of data during training, yet can also process and use large amounts of data during inference. So to understand how to build neuromorphic computers, we need to know how that system could work. Here is a summary of what we know so far: 1. Neuromorphic systems consist of a number of computing units interconnected via a network of synapses and synapse connections called a neuromorphic architecture. The basic components of a neuromorphic architecture include: The processing elements: These are individual transistors or neuroneurons that can be interconnected with other processing elements. Because of their capability of learning and changing their physical shape, neuromorphic network is considered to be able to achieve a more complete automation of robotic systems. In this work a hybrid neuromorphic network is proposed as a fully autonomous neuromorphic robotic system that is suitable for a robot that is capable of learning and changing its physical shape. In the proposed system, a neuromorphic network is coupled with a system based on a multi-staged modular silicon neural network, and a microcontroller is introduced to drive the physical motion of the robot. The development of the proposed system is discussed in relation to the three challenges identified in the literature as follows.
A neuromorphic network can be used as a learning and controlling processor to the microcontroller, and the system provides a means of learning and changing the physical shape and motion of a robot. The system is capable of learning and adapting to changes in a physical environment as well as to self-adapt to changes in its physical shape and motion.
