The past week also brought a new version of Node. js to the world, with a public release in June and a new major version to follow next week. This means there’s a lot to get our thoughts on, and we’ve been thinking about these ideas for a while now. And so this is the first of our posts — and we hope it’s the first of a series of posts — for what we think of as the ‘how’ and ‘why’ portion of building web-scale Node. js applications.
