As the name suggests, VMware Fusion is a virtual appliance that enables computer networking. It is a virtual machine that emulates a server, which can act as a router, firewall, DMZ, or a VPN gateway. VMware Fusion is also an independent software component, but it can also be seamlessly part of a Windows application and run on the host machine.
Virtual networks enable remote access to a network, for example, to access the network on a virtual network by providing a virtual firewall. To create a virtual network, you must define the network that defines the virtual connections between hosts that use the virtual network. For example, you can create a network to allow access to a virtual machine by setting the IP address and port numbers of the virtual network, and defining the virtual network as an Ethernet network using an Ethernet adapter.
To define the virtual network, you must create a virtual machine that is not a standard OS, such as Microsoft Windows because the virtual machines will not function as a real machine on the host machine. Instead, the virtual machine will be a virtual network machine, which can be created by a separate virtual machine.

I have been doing a lot of research on the way Cisco has been handling this new security trend called “intrusion detection. ” The new cybersecurity concept is different from what most of the business intelligence and security folks are going to be discussing today—data security is not “detecting” some type of malware; the security is taking a malicious attack and preventing it from reaching any of the network’s computers by using signatures.
This has been a subject of discussion for a couple of years now, but I think it deserves a quick mention. Of course the topic of computer security is huge, but what I want to focus on today is very much about data security. That doesn’t mean that I am going to just go off in a tangent about the current issue that was just discussed.
