vSphere Security Integration With VMware Carbon Black Products
Introduction: This Article is the result of our previous articles where we demonstrated how to integrate VMM security solutions in a cloud-based environment. vSphere Security with VMware Carbon Black Products is a follow-up of this article. The idea is to integrate vSphere Security with VMware Carbon Black Products into VMM. Here we briefly introduce the vSphere Security feature and the latest VMware version.
vSphere Security integration with VMware Carbon Black Products is an integral part of VMM. vSphere security solution allows the provision of a customized security solution to the VMotion group in a cloud-based network. The vSphere Security solution will be deployed in the VMware vCloud Suite (including all the features and vSphere ESX) that includes vSphere ESX hypervisor and vCenter Server 5.
Now let us look into how to integrate VMM Security with vSphere Security.
When you launch vSphere, vSphere Security will try to enable the vSphere Security agent, which is the vSphere Security component in VMM.
The vSphere Security agent is located at the VMM security dashboard in the VMM Management Center.
To enable the vSphere Security Agent, you need to create a Virtual Machine with a guest MAC address and then assign a guest MAC address and the firewall IP address of the vSphere Security agent.
Enter the guest MAC address of the VM when creating the guest MAC address in the Host Mac column and then create a new guest MAC address.
After the guest MAC has been created, change the address of the guest MAC address in the Guest MAC list window. This can be done by selecting the change address button.

The new check for System Integrity allows you to choose which VM to check out, so that you can make a decision as to whether or not to run such a system compromised system.
