We know from our research that most of you are going to hate me with a passion for this new article, but let me spell it out. The first thing that I want you to do is to take the time to read my recent article, “Shimano Dura-Ace R9200 – new car is”. This article is not written for the faint of heart.
The new Dura-Ace R9200 will be the first in the world that incorporates a motorized steering system similar to that found in the Dura-Ace R1150 (click here to read my complete review of this model). It should be expected that the new R9200 will be a much better fit for the demanding motorsport needs of car enthusiasts.
This is because the new R9200’s motor will have the same overall width as the new Dura-Ace R1150, and the new R9200’s motor will have the same total output of 16,000 rpm (at a max speed of 155 mph).
Shimano Dura-Ace R9200 groupset – an update
A very common problem associated with the Shimano Dura-Ace line of groupsets is that a Dura-Ace groupset will often split the power supply into two, creating two parallel circuits in two parts of the system. This situation results in a loss of power, which you can easily verify by connecting the two parallel circuits to the same power supply. A more complex problem is encountered when power enters the motherboard to the Dura-Ace. For example, a Dura-Ace group set that can switch between two different modes of operation when power enters the motherboard also switches to a different mode of operation when power leaves the motherboard. I would like to show an example of a simple setup using this feature. The following is my very basic implementation of a Shimano Dura-Ace group set.
As its name suggests, what this group set does is to switch power between two parallel circuits. Its primary function is to switch power between a motherboard and a Dura-Ace group set. In this example, it switches between the functions of a battery and the battery charger. The Dura-Ace has two power outputs: one on the motherboard and one on the Dura-Ace. When the Dura-Ace is connected to a battery, the power output on the motherboard is switched to a low level and is the only power supply available for the Dura-Ace.
