The Joplin Municipal Airport

A few simple words of help. I have been fighting with airport security since November. My wife and I just got back from an early morning flight from Joplin to St. As I was reading through the security area, all of a sudden a voice called out in my ear, “Stop what you are doing, now. ” The voice repeated the exact words I had heard through the earbuds in my head: “Stop what you where doing. ” I looked up to see a middle aged black female. I looked down to see a younger black female. They both looked confused. I then glanced around the area and saw all the passengers getting in line to get their bags. Suddenly one of the young black women took off her ear bud, and began “yelling” to the other young black woman. As she pointed to me, “That’s my husband. ” I looked down at my body and realized that my jacket was not tucked under me. I quickly looked at the older woman, and she then pointed at my right leg, the one not tucked under me. I looked down, and noticed that I was not wearing the standard jeans of the passenger walk. Suddenly I heard the word “security,” so I stopped and turned to look back at the woman. As I looked I saw a group of people running towards me. I took off my jacket, which did not fit under my body, and quickly took it off, and removed my “security pants,” which were hanging in my backpack. I put my backpack on, and then turned around to face the people running towards me.

Security officials immediately opened fire on the crowd of people that was yelling and screaming for a person wearing security pants to come off the plane. As I stood there looking at all of this chaos, I noticed another security woman, and pointed to the woman pointed at me. She then began to look at me, and then point to the other security woman, and then to me once again.
