Plusnet and Juniper Networks – A Joint DDoS Protection Solution
A few weeks ago, the news broke that Plusnet GmbH, a company known by its German equivalent of “Plus”, had been in talks with Corero, an Israeli company which is known for a very successful project called DPoS (Denial of Service attacks). Since we do not have a very good understanding on how the two are related, it has not been released yet.
Corero (Corero GmbH) is one of the leading companies in the area of cyber security with its focus on Internet-connected and Internet of Things (IOT) devices. Corero is a German company which is focused on the development, engineering and production of the internet of things technology and security. The core of Corero’s technology is based on the idea of combining existing devices into a network with a secure and decentralized network. Corero’s main competitor is Juniper Networks (JNPR).
A few days ago, Juniper had announced to open the supply of a new Denial of Service software for routers and other devices which they are using in their products. Juniper had not disclosed anything about the product for a couple of days but now Juniper opened the supply of its Denial of Service software for their routers. The product is dubbed JunosGuard™ by Juniper.
Since we know how much security products are being sold by Juniper, this will not surprise anyone.
In the past couple of years, Juniper has experienced a large increase in its volume of sales, mainly due to the fact that the company’s products are very popular with the target audience of the Internet of things device (IoT) market. The company has also managed to sell their products at the same prices they got for the same product in order to compensate for the lower volume.
Juniper has reported an increase in its sales in 2017, this despite the fact that they still reported a much lower volume than in the previous year. Despite the fact that they got the third highest sales volume in the third quarter of 2017 (1 TB/month), they did not get the same number of new customers for the same reason.
A Joint DDoS Protection Solution for Plusnet and Juniper Networks
The announcement of the new DDoS protection solution for Plusnet by Corero and Juniper Networks will offer Plusnet customers and end-users an additional layer of DDoS protection, as they continue to look beyond the latest attacks by both these two major security vendors in order to provide an efficient and seamless DDoS protection solution. The new product, Corero CoreSAS, is designed for Plusnet’s existing solution “CoreRisk”, which has been in operation in the Plusnet GmbH DDoS protection center for six years now and has not changed.
