CrowdStrike: A Surge in Cyber Security Services

CrowdStrike announced a surge in its Cyber Security services to an increase in traffic in its network in the past month. In late August, the cybersecurity firm launched its first ransomware attack, which the firm says it quickly responded to quickly and appropriately, allowing users to quickly find and pay for the ransom using any of its services. CrowdStrike has also seen a surge in traffic from companies utilizing its services, including companies that were previously not using them. In addition to this, it had “a good lead and a big lead,” said Scott Maier, the CTO of CrowdStrike. CrowdStrike has a long history tracking the ransom demand after a data breach, and has “tried all kinds of different methods to help companies who were impacted,” Maier said. “I think we’ve solved the problem of getting those companies to pay us. ” Also in August, CrowdStrike’s own data breach, an unsuccessful “piggyback attack” on the company, became a big PR boost. CrowdStrike was able to quickly and successfully recover and prevent the attack from spreading to users. In a recent blog post, CrowdStrike explained that the team worked with the cyber-criminals to create a “highly sophisticated” infection that could not been detected by the company’s security tools. Once the infection was identified, CrowdStrike deployed the tool to find and attack the target. CrowdStrike has also seen a spike in traffic from various companies, who it says are “trying to exploit” CrowdStrike’s services once again. The cyber-criminals who used the ransom method were able to quickly create large amounts of code that would require significant resources to crack. “The goal has always been to get these companies to pay,” Maier said.

In August 2018, CrowdStrike announced a surge in its Cyber Security services to an increase in traffic in its network in the past month. Axios Markets – An Update on a New REvil-like Attack

How software supply chain attacks prevent more than cause!

For those who don’t know, from 2011 to late 2012 I did research and wrote articles for a company that sells software that can help detect and mitigate malware attacks. One of the projects that I worked on was called “How to Keep Your Computer safe from Malware and Viruses/Spyware. ” This was my first foray into security research, and I’ve written about this project for years—from the days of my “Papers of the Week” series to writing the “Curious Case of the Missing RAR File…” series for Computerworld in the early- to mid-2000’s. I wrote about my work here and here in other areas.

In November 2012, a new program came to market called the Rapid Application for Microbial Resource (RAPTOR), and it was first released in April 2014.

Since then we’ve seen more and more of our software partners adopt RAPTOR, and the software is rapidly spreading. At CERT, that’s a good thing. RAPTOR can help us fight malware attacks, as well as other types of malware, and we can quickly deploy it as well. As the saying goes, “If it’s good enough for the Pentagon, it’s good enough for CERT”.

In January 2014, malware came from China. There are two versions of the malware—“Ransomware”, and “Wanda-Ransomware”. The two types can cause security problems if a ROP bypasses us, which was the case for a security breach we investigated in August 2013.

In April 2014, we were alerted by a colleague at one of our partners to the “Zyxel PLC” malware. (ZyXEL is a well-known company in the antivirus sector. ) This malware is related to the original “Ransomware”.

In early June 2014, our software was notified that a threat campaign began in China with the purpose of stealing large volumes of confidential data from the Internet.
