The Kansas City Human Trafficking Experiment (KY3)
We will present the findings from our Human Trafficking Experiment (KY3) research, as well as the various methods used to analyze the research.
The Kansas City Human Trafficking Experiment (KY3) was held in the summer of 2010 from July through August in conjunction with the Kansas City Domestic Trafficking Task Force (KCDTTF). The KY3 research, part of the KCDTTF’s efforts to protect and promote human trafficking awareness across the United States, aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the community-based intervention efforts of KCDTTF’s Human Trafficking Task Force (HTTF) to combat human trafficking. The Research Project: KY3 collected multiple assessments and surveys during the KY3 project, some at the same time the KY3 project staff was administering the evaluations to participants in the KY3 project, while other data collection occurred at different sites across the United States. After our research staff administered the surveys, some of the field research assistants returned to evaluate the surveys for errors.
During KY3, we collected and analyzed surveys, provided feedback to participants about survey responses, and provided some feedback to the participants about the project administration. We will present the findings from our KY3 research in this article. We also will include case studies of the project’s results as well as a summary of other studies conducted by the HTTF that were related to KY3. We will include a description of the KY3 intervention processes.

As of September 2015, the Highway Patrol has a total of 482 sworn and/or enlisted law enforcement personnel. The patrol is commanded by the Chief of the Highway Patrol.
Hutchinson Police Department,
A local law enforcement agency’s failure to properly implement information security controls has resulted in the theft of sensitive data from a secure database, according to a security researcher.
The FBI is investigating the theft of sensitive intelligence and law enforcement information from a local police department.
A security breach on file was discovered in November 2012.
The Hutchinson Police Department’s IT system appears to have been compromised.
The Hutchinson law enforcement department’s IT system was hacked and sensitive data accessed from it was stolen from a secure data repository owned by a third party, according to a breach notification document from the FBI.
The information from the system included the department’s personnel files, court records, and information on criminal cases, the document says.
The Hutchinson PD’s IT department has a “poor control” of information security controls, and has not been able to protect all of the sensitive data that has been stolen, according to the security researcher who discovered the breach.
The FBI is working with the United Kingdom’s National Crime Agency and the United Kingdom’s National Crime Agency to investigate the breach.
“A criminal organization has gone to great lengths to steal, steal, steal data,” said Matthew Green, a computer security expert who has analyzed police department data for the FBI.
“This was a massive attack of a local police department,” said Green.
