A discussion of many game franchises and how they come to life.

The video game industry is an incredible creation from a young man, Michael De La Rosa. His family was originally from Cuba. After being born and raised in Miami, De La Rosa began his career in the computer games industry as a young kid, taking a break from school and becoming a computer game programmer for his father. He eventually moved to Los Angeles, and worked his way up the ranks of the industry, working at a number of different studios and becoming a full-time programmer. By the time he’s finished programming, he’s one of the top programmers in the world, working for such top companies as Electronic Arts, Capcom, and Nintendo. In the process of becoming a full-time programmer, he continued to make video games himself, eventually moving from team to team and making games where he would work on projects for other developers. He eventually made the leap of becoming the head of his own team at a place called Mega Man, which was to become a massive success. After leaving Mega Man, De La Rosa moved back to Miami, where he became an independent game developer.
