Unofficial Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Nintendo Switch Review
- by Team
Nintendo released an unofficial port of the popular Kirby’s Return to Dream Drop Distance! for the Nintendo Switch a few days ago and a quick look at the full project video showed off the game’s gameplay. It has received very positive reviews and I was given a sneak preview of the game that showed off the full, brand new graphics.
Since release some minor issues have come up. But the game has now received around 20,000 downloads on the Nintendo eShop and has gained a great reception from fans. This was a good thing for Nintendo but it also means that no new Kirby games in the future are likely to be coming out for the Switch.
You’re a boy named Kirby, you’re on a planet called Dream Drop Distance, it’s a world where everything changes around you, you discover in Kirby’s Return to Dream Drop Distance! that you’re a unique being, who uses the special “Kirbys” in your body to control your favorite characters. You come across a planet called Dream World where everybody is the same, except for you. You’ve come to the end of your journey, but you’ve decided to put your dreams in your own hands and make your own adventures, you decide to pursue the dream of becoming a “Kirby” and your dreams come true.
The game is divided into 10 sections and each section is a single stage of gameplay. There are multiple levels, but all levels are connected to each other and you’ve got to work together. The stages are divided into 2-5 levels and the game follows a fairly linear approach with no extra-content after the first 8 levels are completed. Every stage is a new take on the Kirby’s Land theme, and because of that you’re going to have to work a lot to complete each stage. Most of the stages are pretty standard, with two stages having a boss.
The game has a full soundtrack, which is pretty easy to ignore. You can go into the game’s menu and listen to the soundtrack, or just take control of a character and play the game.

Tips of the Day in Computer Games
The week has been full of interesting news about console systems, from PlayStation 4′s impressive sales numbers to Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox One console. With the launch of each new generation of console, we now have more than just games to cover, there are also hints and ideas about what we can expect next in terms of hardware. So, here’s our May 28 2017 in computer games Q&A.
In this week’s Q&A with GameSpot, IGN’s Greg Miller says that Nintendo of America CEO Satoru Iwata has stated that Nintendo’s next console, the NX, is designed to “be about performance and to have a more flexible [design], not only about specs and features but also about how we think about the games. ” Iwata had his own thoughts on that when he made his comments on his Twitter page earlier this week.
“I really like that, and I think that means we can have different game experiences for the NX, and that we will be able to do differently,” Iwata said.
