I have a couple of more research projects for you to read before you start writing your own version of Traceability Software for the Seafood Industry. For others, it matters a great deal. While for some, you are an early adopter, for others, you are one of the leaders. But if you are a technology leader, you should be thinking about how your technology influences the life of your customers. To be a leader of technology, you should be thinking about the impact your technology has on customers, not just the impact they have on you. To be a leader of a technology, you must be a leader of how technology impacts your customers and the way that your technology can be used to improve it.

Tips of the Day in Software
What does a Java 8 Update 9 mean? Well, in the future, we may be able to upgrade code without having to restart the software. Java 7 Update 6, for example, was able to perform a large number of upgrades without restarting the software. When was Java 8 Update 9 released? Well, it was on the Java 6 Platform Update (known as Platform Updates until Java 6 was discontinued) as a fix for some bugs. With Java 8, we know that Java 8 Update 9 has support across the board (updates for Java 6 and JRE 6 are still pending).
This new Java 7 update, now known as Java 7 Update 8, includes significant bug fixes along with additions to the platform API (API Compatibility Update). With Java 8 Update 9 (not quite as exciting as the new JRE), we will be able to upgrade to Java 7 Update 8 without having to restart the software. Of course, the Java 7 Update 8 version of the JDK will be supported for years in Java 6 Applications.
