Curbstone is a software tool for generating traffic congestion relief models through data-driven modeling. This paper describes an original application for traffic congestion relief modeling in Singapore and Malaysia and then explores ways of using this tool to generate traffic flow data for evaluating fuel economy. A series of simulation experiments are conducted using the Traffic Congestion Relief Model developed in this paper. The results of the simulation experiments reveal that the proposed model is able to generate traffic flow data of suitable quality for evaluation of fuel economy.

Curbston, a software tool for generating traffic congestion relief models, is an application that is able to model the traffic at an area with a set of stations and the traffic on the roads through the area. The models created with this method are based on models such as traffic volume models.
