The 15th Asia Pacific Enterprise Award (APEA) was awarded to Microsoft for the development of its Windows operating system, Windows Azure for its cloud development and the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, Microsoft Azure for its virtual machine platform and Microsoft Azure for its Business Services. The winner of the APEA is a leader in the development of Windows in the Asia Pacific region.

The winning company was chosen by a jury that included representatives from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, and the United States as well as three senior executives from Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan. The jury judged three aspects of the product: technology and innovation, business and value and design, and marketing and branding. The winner of the APEA: a leader in designing and building cloud solutions for big customers like Alibaba, Baidu, Tencent, Fujian, and Xiaomi.

Winner: Microsoft Azure for the Azure cloud platform.

The Singapore government has been the sponsor of the 15th Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards, which has been created to reward companies from the Asia Pacific region for their efforts to deliver solutions that advance and impact the business of their country and partner countries. The award event had a grand opening of the Singapore Government Museum. The event was in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards Singapore & Malaysia (APEA MAS) which was held on the 26th April, 2020 in Singapore.

The Awards recognise companies that have proven their capability to drive economic prosperity, innovation, and prosperity through innovative solutions. The Awards are organised by the Singapore Government along with some partner societies and institutions in Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.

The Awards have also been extended to Asia Pacific countries including Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, East Timor, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand and other countries. The Awards winners have been announced on the 29th May, 2020.

Singapore Government (SG) is one of the most prominent and respected government in the world. SG has been in the Business Administration (BA), the Institute of Management (IM) and the Singapore Management University (SMU). In 2017, SG was ranked fifth amongst all of its peers in terms of having the highest ranking by the Asia Pacific in the Asian Development Bank’s Global Competitiveness Report 2020. In comparison to other Asian nations, Singapore does well in terms of their education system with the top 10 universities in the Asia Pacific University Ranking having a combined undergraduate and postgraduate entry grade point average of 3. 5 respectively; while in comparison to other Asian nations, Singapore has a good number of graduate students; amongst them are the top 5 universities in terms of ranking, the top 25 graduate institutions and the top 10 postgraduate institutions.

On 21st June, 2019 the Singapore government launched a new $2. 3 billion fund for innovation and entrepreneurship to support startup businesses and small enterprises as part of Singapore’s efforts to lead in making Singapore a global leader in innovation and entrepreneurship, the Singapore Innovation Fund, (SIF) to foster entrepreneurial activity, innovation and growth in the Asia Pacific region.

The 2021 Asia Entrepreneurship Forum regional edition :

The 2021 Asia Entrepreneurship Forum (AEFF 2020) is taking place in Singapore this year. This year the theme is ‘Tech-enabled Entrepreneurship for better performance’ and we are organizing a 4-day summit.

The meeting is in line with our core objective: To engage with a broader set of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs at-large in the region, through this forum to share perspectives, exchange knowledge, opportunities and solutions.

The forum is a multi-faceted one, a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs with an entrepreneurial vision to create value and contribute to and benefit their society. It brings together the world’s leading entrepreneurial talent for such an unprecedented 3-day event.

The AEFF 2020 event includes: A business case pitch, keynote, panel discussions, networking and social events. The event will be held from 16-19 October 2019 in Singapore.

The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) will lead the event.

All the participants are required to submit the necessary documentation to make the event a successful event.

As the AEFF is an incubation event, every startup will be required to provide its business plan to our event Organizers.

The purpose of this meeting is to share and learn about relevant topics with the entrepreneurs at the event. Participants, and speakers’ are encouraged to use the forum materials to get more information about AEFF.

Introduction: The paper aims to understand the impact of digital technology on the development of economic and social integration in rural areas of Asia-Pacific.

Methodology: This paper applies a social network analysis framework. The objective is to describe the structure of internet and mobile connections on a range of Asian and Middle East countries. The paper focuses on the digital technologies in these countries; it does not intend to analyze the potential role of internet and mobile networked services of other countries.

Scope and Limitations: This work uses information technology infrastructure to study the impacts of digital technology on economic and social development in Asia-Pacific. In this study, I intend to collect the data of the internet and mobile connections of each country. The data collected have not considered other technologies, for example mobile phone network, wireless LAN, television, radio, or satellite. The data collected also do not consider the role of internet and mobile communication or the potential of other technologies. Further, the paper does not analyze the role of internet and mobile networked services. The paper’s objective is not intended to analyze the potential role of internet and mobile communication.
