Superna Kalle, President of Starzplay
Superna Kalle, the Danish comedian, author and television producer, will have her head shaved at the premiere of the documentary series ‘The Secret of Superna Kalle’ on Wednesday 2nd March, and will speak on the show about her life and career.
Superna Kalle is one of those Danish comedians who are loved by all. Her stand up comedy shows are at the cutting edge of performance art, with their bold, sometimes subversive, and sometimes absurdist humour and satire. She is often described as the personification of Scandinavian humour and her work has a unique style, characterised by a strong sense of humour and a genuine affection for the Danish and Danishness.
While she has performed around the world, she has never lived outside of Denmark where she worked as a theatre and film producer.
“I have always been at home,” she says. “When I started my career in the comedy industry I was very close to home. I love Denmark and I am really proud to be a part of the country. I am not just proud that I am from Denmark, I am proud to be Danish. I’m really proud to be a Danish comedian, and I have an exciting future ahead of me.
Superna Kalle, born and raised in Denmark, has been a leading force in creating and selling comedy for many years. In 2014, she made a name for herself on the Danish television station, TV3, by hosting the series ‘Superna Kalle’. Her first appearance on ‘Superna Kalle’ was with an ensemble of Danish comedians on the Comedy Show, in which she performed in front of a live studio audience, in Copenhagen. She then got the chance to record a CD with the Danish rapper, Jon Stenberg.
As the result of this, the CD was released in 2014 and included several songs and performances by Superna Kalle. In 2015 and 2016, Superna Kalle appeared on TV talent shows, such as ‘Talent Show’, a Danish reality series for television. She then hosted the show ‘Best of Talent’, with an ensemble of Danish comedians, in 2016.

I am so excited for my new role at Starzplay as we continue to develop new, more exciting opportunities for Star Trek® fans. I am so grateful for my long-time friend and colleague, Tim Kring, who has had this role since our first year, and for all of the great things that Tim can do, such as hosting, writing, and doing photography, as well as producing, and editing, the Starzplay site. I am especially grateful for the many great people I’ve met at the show, like our wonderful hosts, David Gerrold and Chris Docey, as well as our amazing cast and crew, who have helped me reach the peak of my career.
I am also thankful for all of you that have been so supportive and supportive of this show since day one, including our incredible cast and crew. They’ve all been so welcoming and I cannot thank you all enough for your contributions and dedication to the show. I am going to miss you but I am also excited to continue to collaborate with these talented partners at Starzplay.
Since Starzplay has such a great community of fans, I want to take this opportunity to introduce the new Star Trek® fan content producer, and a very talented artist, Michael B. Superna Hirsch, an Israeli computer scientist and technologist who works at Microsoft and leads the Machine Learning Research team.
“Our goal is to create intelligent systems that learn from data and do great things” says Hirsch about the role of AI in the future of data science and related AI technologies.
Superna Hirsch also leads the Machine Intelligence Research team at Microsoft.
[00:00:13] I don’t want to ruin the show for anybody, so let’s just jump straight into the show. I guess I should start with your name, Superna.
Superna: Well, I actually worked for Microsoft for seven years. I’m the Director of Science and Technology for MS Research, so I’m involved in many different things. As a general interest person, I just like to be able to find problems that we can solve that people can use.
[00:00:56] I do have a somewhat technical background, though, and it came from my interest in computer science. So I just love having a problem to solve, I don’t really mind the problem solving part. So I thought that the name of the show was a very nice way to not only give a name to the show but to also let people think of Superna and the show as kind of a family.
A Conversation with Kalle
Hello, everyone. For this post I wanted to start off with a friendly conversation, not a serious discussion. But it’s always great to start off such a conversation.
I have wanted do a little research on Kalle for a while, and it seems a good fit to share my thoughts on him with some of the most experienced developers in the industry. He has the same interests as me, and I have his blog as well. In our interviews, I always ask for feedback and suggestions as to how he could improve and grow as a developer.
If you’ve followed my blog at all, I know you will already know what I’m going to start off with. I will start off this post by talking about my “first impressions” with Kalle. I went to his site, read through his blog, and then came back to the interview with him. The goal is to get an overview from Kalle and his thoughts on what makes a good developer.
Kalle is a 26 year old father of two sons. He completed his undergrad at Concordia College in Waterloo with a 4. 0 GPA and was accepted into the Concordia College MS in Computer Science. After graduation, Kalle went on to receive his MSc in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. With a BA in Philosophy, he also started his career as a Software Developer at CERN before leaving to pursue an engineering degree at Waterloo. For a few years, he was still a software developer while studying and working in the IT industry as well as going to school.
Kalle’s blog is a pretty popular one and I’ve spent quite a few hours reading all of them. A lot of these articles are quite interesting. There are also a lot of videos as well. There are also a good amount of programming videos on his blog as well. He has about 140 posts and pages on his blog, so I’d suggest you do a search on it to get an idea for what kind of content he’s making.
I recently began a research for a project I’m working on and have decided to go ahead with it.
