Staten Island School Board
The new seats on the Staten Island School Board will benefit students at all of the borough’s schools. The move will also reduce overcrowding on two schools and eliminate two schools that have overcrowding.
The board also voted to expand school hours to five days a week, to better allow students to become more involved in their classes, and to increase the number of classrooms.
In an unusual move, the board approved a special-mission tax that will go to two organizations that provide free school supplies and classroom materials, as well as support for at-risk and special education students. The tax will be used to fund the Staten Island Public Schools’ capital projects, including renovating the high school, a new elementary school gymnasium and playground, a new middle school, and the middle school cafeteria. The school will also replace the building that housed the cafeteria.
The board also voted to expand the hours of two elementary schools, and also voted to make some additional changes to the high school.
“Over the past decade, we have seen a shift in the school system from traditional to modern in a number of schools,” said Staten Island Assemblymember Vincent Gentile, who is on the board. “Now that we are moving toward a more flexible schedule for students and teachers, we are taking a step back to determine what is most important to us.
In total, the new school board seats will add an average of nearly 2,300 students to the 2,050 in the borough; however, the borough has already lost about 10,000 students in the school system over the past 10 years – and is on track to lose another 19,000 students in the next decade.
At the high school, the school board will add the capacity for 1,000 more students.
In the middle school, the school board will add the capacity for 1,500 more students.
In the elementary school, the school board will add the capacity for 1,300 more students.
In high school, the school board will add the capacity for 800 more students, and will add new classrooms to make it more “flexible,” said school board President John Rizzuti.
All school board seats will be open year-round, he said.

The first and foremost purpose of this article is to offer guidance as to how you may make the most of your learning time. As you may know, we are fortunate to have plenty of time together as a family, so the first thing that we do after the kids are in bed is to head to the library and spend some time reading.
The second reason to read is simply to learn. You can spend a great amount of time in your reading room if you like, but there is more activity outside of the library. In the case of Staten Island, you have plenty of nature trails to explore. These trails run throughout our borough and are well known around the island. Some run all the way up into the north and south ends of Staten Island, while others are primarily for walking and run through the trees and around the lakes.
The third reason to spend time in your reading room is to increase your knowledge of the many words from the island. There are quite a few books that are available to us that are not for sale at the library, so we can spend as much time in the library reading as we want. These books are mostly the same as the ones you may have purchased at the library, but instead of the same books we choose, we choose a book that interests us at the moment.
As for the rest of the reading, there are many books that are available to us that we could spend time reading on the go, and we would probably be better served by making that a priority. There are a lot more books that are available than the ones in the library, so we should make the reading time a priority in our lives and seek to spend it with quality books.
Many Staten Islanders will tell you that they have a great selection of choices when looking for books that are available, but they will also tell you that they don’t have many of them because of all of the books they already own. Well, I say to them this, “if you really don’t love books, I suggest you get a book for all of your books.
If you are looking for books to read, it is important to take the time to spend in your reading room. You can spend as much time in your reading room as you want, but it is important to have quality books to read.
A public elementary school on St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church.
The official website of the school St Anthony of Padua R C Church, St Joseph of Arimathea RC Church and St Luke’s RC Church was made available to the world. The websites were made available under the terms of the Creative Commons Licence, which requires a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike license which is required for a Creative Commons license to be legally valid in all conditions and jurisdictions. In addition, the schools that host the websites must also have the “Educational Services Act” in the jurisdiction in which the schools are located.
Curious why St Luke’s RC Church has to make their website available as a public school, when St Anthony’s R C Church and St Joseph’s R C Church do not need to have their website available. I will show why and how they use a Creative Commons.
St Anthony’s has no official webpage. This is just that their website is made available to the world in several languages: Filipino, English, French, Italian, German, etc.
Their website was published since last June in English and under the Creative Commons (CC) Licence, which is valid in all conditions and jurisdictions.
St Joseph of Arimathea has no official webpage. This is that their website is made available to the world under the Creative Commons (CC) Licence.
Their website was published since last May in Spanish and under the Creative Commons (CC) Licence, which is valid in all conditions and jurisdictions.
St Luke’s website is available under the Educational Services Act as well.
Both websites have the same content. The only difference is some pages are only available in English and under the Creative Commons (CC) Licence.
A Creative Commons website is not always a legal requirement. In most countries there are no legal requirements for Creative Commons websites. There are some exceptions for other reasons including the fact that using a Creative Commons website allows you the right to modify the article or copyright for an article you uploaded onto your website.
The website is legally licensed.
School Zone: A New Newsletter
This is a monthly newsletter that covers current events and current programming efforts in the School Zone. It is designed to be printed, emailed, and posted to any newsstand. The newsletter is intended as a place to share the important news about upcoming events and the current programming in the School Zone.
Bethany Elementary is offering the 3D-STEM class this year.
The class will include projects that will give students a strong, hands-on learning experience.
The 3D-STEM class is being offered in Blythe Elementary School. The class will be taught by Dr. Pascarella and Dr. Rebecca Dittmar. Students in this class will also have access to the new 3D-STEM lab at the new Blythe Library. The 3D-STEM lab is located next to Blythe library and is one of the first 3D-STEM labs in the nation. The school will also be offering the 2D-STEM class in September.
Bethany Elementary will be offering the 3D-STEM class to grade K-5 this year, beginning in September. Classes in the class are offered in the following four grades: Kindergarten, first grade.

Projects will be based on the curriculum developed by Dr. Pascarella and Dr. The 3D-STEM class will also include a “hands on” experience. Each day the students will do a project based on an animation. The animation will have a teacher that they will be following as they do a project. The student will have a real-world experience.
For both grade level classes, all students will receive individual attention and a project. Students will spend a half day in the classroom each week in a group setting. The projects will have to be completed by the end of the week.
The 3D-STEM class will be held at the new Blythe Library. Blythe is located at 1400 W.
