Some people might think that the entire reason for creating a 3D printer is to make money. However, this is wrong. In order to make money, you often have to make something. If you don’t make a game, you won’t make it to the moon. If you don’t make a product, you won’t make money. If you don’t develop a technology, you won’t make it to mass production.
We believe that a lot of the success of 3D printing is tied to a few principles that we call ‘The 3Ds’.
Discovery: A 3D printer that can manufacture parts that it can’t manufacture at a profit is called discovery.
Design: The product that the 3D printer manufactures is called design.
Production: The finished product that the 3D printer produces is called production.
A 3D printer that can manufacture parts that it can’t manufacture at a profit is called discovery. If the product is novel or not commonly known, you won’t make money. You have to find it and you have to make it. There are many 3D printers that do just that.

The Epsilon W50 is a 3D printer that fits into your smartphone. A small touch of the phone’s screen opens the front shutter of the printer, and the printing starts.
