Queens County Summer Music Festival
The Westside Lions Park, an outdoor concert series with over 30 events per year, is coming to Townsquare Village, March 29-April 4.
The lineup of this unique, outdoor music event has something for just about any taste.
Every event at the Westside Lions Park is accompanied by free giveaways and a complimentary pre-show buffet.

The 2018 Queens County Summer Music Festival, a summertime series of performances and activities featuring the best music from around the world, will take place for 26 total events each summer. The festival is supported by the NY City Economic Development Corporation and is the only non-holiday outdoor event program in Queens County.
Queens County Summer Music Festival will take place between June 1 and July 1 each year. Concerts will be held at the Queens County/Westside Community Center, 1-2 Riverside Drive, at the corner of West Side Avenue and East 46th Street in Jamaica. A ribbon cutting ceremony for the construction of the Norma Hertzog Community Center in Costa Mesa
The Sea Coast Group, a leader in community and environmental restoration throughout Orange County, was honored today with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Costa Mesa Community Center when it officially opened its new facility. The Sea Coast Group will continue to lead the restoration and conservation efforts that have made Orange County one of the most environmentally and socially responsible regions of America.
The new Costa Mesa Community Center is a new facility built as part of the community’s long-term commitment to providing leadership and innovation in sustainable development that enhances the public’s quality of life, strengthens our economy and supports responsible stewardship of the environment.
The new Norma Hertzog Community Center brings together more than 20,000 square feet of ground breaking activities and provides more than 5,500 square feet of new exhibits and facilities, including the Oceanography Gallery and the Ocean Conservancy Science Station where the Sea Coast will be located.
The new center is named in honor of Norma Hertzog, the late Costa Mesa resident, who for more than 20 years has made a significant impact on Costa Mesa, Orange County and the region. Her commitment to the community and her lifelong commitment to the environmental and social issues that drive her work in her career as a successful corporate consultant, brought environmental stewardship and innovation to Costa Mesa over the last 25 years.
“We are a company that values the power of collaboration and recognizes the benefits that come from providing our employees with opportunities for growth outside of the traditional confines of their corporate responsibilities,” said Richard W. Breen, Chairman and CEO of the Sea Coast Group, of which the Costa Mesa Community Center will be the flagship project.
The Sea Coast Group will continue to operate the Costa Mesa Community Center as is, but the organization will be responsible for the building and construction of the new facility and will be responsible for the operation of the Ocean Conservancy Science Station and the Oceanography Gallery, both of which will be fully operational when the new center is completed.
The Sea Coast Group will be responsible for design, construction, operations and maintenance for the new center for 20 years.

I love my job, and my job at the City of Costa Mesa is absolutely great! I’ve never had anyone that has treated me like I have never been treated before. I like spending every day learning about life in the city, the economy of the city, and how the city affects us all. I like having someone on the City Council that I have a personal relationship with as well. We have gone through a lot together. We’ve changed a lot together.
I love being the first female mayor of a great city! I’ve enjoyed being part of the history of Costa Mesa from start to finish.
This year, the second in a row, my sister Michelle and I celebrated our ninth wedding anniversary. We both graduated from the University of San Diego with Honors in Criminal Justice and Public Safety. We both worked for the San Diego Police Department for about two and a half years before Michelle, the Chief of Police of the Costa Mesa Police Department, moved in and took over the reigns of the department. In doing so, she brought me into the department and made me a full member, which was a very new experience for me.
Michelle has been the Deputy Mayor for Public Safety since 2013 and the Chief of the Costa Mesa Police Department for nine years. She is not only my sister, but my closest friend at the same time. Michelle is an amazing person, and I know she will make a positive impact on us all. Michelle and I are both huge political junkies, and we look at politics as our family.
Lions Park – Making it better
The Lions Park is a community of people who believe in making the Lions Park a better place. They’ve come together to do what they can to make the Lions Park a better place to live in Melbourne.
In order to make this happen they’re reaching out to Melbourne’s community to help them get involved. To make the Lions Park a better place to live in Melbourne they’re making the Lions Park a better place it the people.
The Lions Park is a beautiful place with plenty of activities for the kids and adults of Melbourne. There’s plenty for both the kids and the adults to enjoy, from the playgrounds to the artworks, to the cricket pitches, to the community centre which has a cinema and a bowling alley. There’s lots for everyone to enjoy while in Melbourne – just ask your neighbours and they’ll tell you.

Tips of the Day in Programming
So as I said, I’m used to these patterns, and it comes down to personal preference.
I’m sure you’ve seen some JavaScript extensions before: libraries that add an API for adding data to your browser, a common API for your browser to talk to the DOM/HTML/XML APIs, and, perhaps most interestingly, in this case, a built-in API to create documents in your browser. It’s a pretty common pattern for developers to add an API as an extension – in fact, many sites like Facebook already do this using this pattern. It’s also very common to add this type of feature to your extension in a non-obvious way.
