Online Gang Warfare

This article will be covering a top 5 list of “Online Gangs”; that are currently used by users of the Internet who are interested in obtaining some online notoriety and profit. This list is by no means exhaustive in the sense that there are other online gangs out there that I do not cover here.
Gang Warfare is one of those things that I have had an affinity for since the beginning of my computer game development career; even before I developed any RPG. I could probably go on for days about the numerous times I have taken part in various types of gang warfare, but I will just say this; when someone does something with an RPG, that is so specific and complex that it takes some kind of group mentality to figure it out, then they are doing gang warfare.
Now, before I delve any further into the specific topics that were discussed here, I’ll need to go back to the beginning a little bit.
This article began with a fairly generic discussion of the game, which I then expanded upon with a list of ten other games that are similar. That discussion was largely an exercise in going back and forth between the games and then working them into a cohesive list. I can only hope that future articles will be more specific as I can only hope to provide the reader with one unified list of gang-related games.
Before we begin, I want to make clear that I am not claiming to be the best in the world of gang warfare! I’m just saying that there are definitely some outstanding games that can be used to build on the ideas presented here. That being said, I have decided to put my name out there and let the gang do the rest of the heavy lifting.
As one of the many examples when it comes to games of online gang warfare, the League of Villains is an online world based in online fantasy, where the player’s goal is to become the best criminal they can.

The Syrian Electronic Army: a Hutchactivist group
The Syrian Electronic Army is, according to its members, a covert, technologically sophisticated, state-sponsored group which is part of and associated with the “Russian-led Russian Intelligence” that is tasked with carrying out an “intervention campaign” in favor of the government of Syria. The members of this group are being referred to as “Russian intelligence”, “spies,” or “specialists” in one of their publications, The Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) is described as a “private anti-government hacking unit” being “created specifically to fight for the Syrian government,” using “technologies from many different countries”. The SEA has been described as a “lack of government control,” being “a group of computer nerds who have gained the trust of many Syrians, and who are dedicated to fighting against their own government,” according to an article published by the International Business Times (IB Times).
“The SEA has been using ‘the Russian GRU’ since early 2015 to hack the official websites of various western governments”, and “has even gone as far as to hack the personal information of American officials,” according to a Syrian Electronic Army Member (SEA Member).
The SEA has claimed to have hacked into the “personal information of American officials,” making it appear that the Syrian Electronic Army is affiliated with “Russian intelligence”. The SEA has also claimed to have hacked into the “correspondences between top Syrian officials and the Obama administration”.
The SEA has been credited by the SEA with its success in hacking into the Syrian government, according to an article published on the website of International Business Times.
The SEA also boasted a large number of “visitors and adopters” who “receive SEA member status” and have joined the SEA, which they attribute to the “Russian-led Russian Intelligence”.
