Rep. Mike Turner and Ligado Networks (R-OH) are battling interference

Mike Turner and Ligado Networks (R-OH), both on the campaign trail, are fighting for their votes in the upcoming elections. And Ligado has some explaining to do.

I was born and raised in the heart of rural Ohio. I am a veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan War. And I had a chance to have a job as a police officer in Youngstown, Ohio. It was a wonderful role to have. But for me, it wasn’t all about the job. I loved my family, we were always the center of their world. I would spend most of my afternoons with them on the front porch. I would love to go back home to Ohio and be with my family one day, but I can’t and I won’t.

I also wanted to be a police officer because I had two older brothers who wanted to be officers. And so, when they were growing up, they used to take us and go into the local area police headquarters and have a talk with the police chief and find out what was going on. They were great young men, and so, I grew up knowing a little bit about law enforcement and police work.

Then I went to law school, and I graduated law school at the age of 24. I was an excellent student. But then I got into the political arena and started my campaign. And I would love to be a police officer because I knew the law and the rules, so I became a member of the police department and then joined the police board.

My background as a lawyer got me interested in the state legislature. I spent the last five years studying the legislature and studying how the state legislators acted. And I liked the fact that as a state legislator that I had some policy and rules, and that if I made an error I could correct it. That was what I knew, and so I became a member of the State Senate, and after I was done with the state legislature and I was asked to be a member of the State House, I decided to run for the state representative.

Because of my military experience, I am a family man, and I have had the opportunity to have a little bit of a different perspective as a legislator.

Rep. Turner and the REAIN Act

Rep. Turner and the REAIN Act

Turner and the REAIN Act: When Congress doesn’t act, cyber security professionals go shopping for solutions to the problem. The REAIN Act, on the other hand, is doing just the opposite. The bill is an expansion of the Defense Department’s Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) and its “information sharing requirements for cybersecurity related activities. Turner (R-OH) introduced the REAIN Act last week. He said he is “disappointed” at the inability of congressional officials to work out the kinks in the Senate bill. Turner is also a “key member of the House Committee on Homeland Security” because he serves on the committee’s Cyber Task Force. However, the REAIN Act is not the only bill that has been introduced that has issues. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has introduced the Senate Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act, as well as several other bills. Turner’s bill is not the only one that has failed in Congress; the DISA Act is the latest to be killed in the Senate. On August 17, the House held a hearing on the Senate Intelligence Committee’s bill to make government agencies, including the IRS and DHS, part of a program to enhance the sharing of cyber threats in both of the United States. The bill is unlikely to pass the Senate, but the House could act before the end of session on the DISA Act, too.

Tips of the Day in Network Security

In light of the latest developments in the world of Network Security, I thought it would be worth sharing what I learned in my own network security career over the past eight years, what I have discovered, and what I think is absolutely true about the current state of affairs regarding protecting companies from themselves.

There’s an old saying that “Security is the process of securing a computer that isn’t properly secured. ” The problem with that is that this is a misnomer because the computer that isn’t properly secured is not a computer; it’s a network. And that has never been more true than the modern connected world. The Internet is an explosion of networks, with billions of computers scattered all over the globe using the Internet for their communications. And yet despite the exponential growth of the Internet, not everyone is plugged into the network the way that they should be.
