I need to clone the data on a hard drive I created 2 years ago – it was a live DVD file, it was full of multimedia music and data. It was created by a friend during a tour of Australia with my laptop when we were on the road. He made a copy and put it on this hard drive because he thought it would be easier for me to find a place to put it when I was in the middle of touring Australia. I know it was a few years ago and i think many more will want to try it. If it’s easier for me now (as most likely it is) I would like a copy on my PC. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Your hard drive has to be in the same position as you did it in.

If it was a backup made, you would be able to copy it to a backup PC.

Tips of the Day in Computer Hardware

With all of the hardware buzz around a new Mac Pro and a new ThinkPad, it’s tempting to get in on the fun. Maybe it’s a fun novelty for new people, new users, or a fun way for someone to check the latest hardware from all over the world.

I just wanted to take a moment and explain something I’ve learned through my own experiences of using a wide variety of devices.

I have a Windows 7 system, and recently bought the ThinkPad ThinkPad T440p as a daily use laptop. After several months of being used, I thought I would share some tips of the day regarding the Windows system.

I was going to use the ThinkPad as a daily use tablet, but eventually ended up using it for more work. The T440p is just too heavy to handle day to day tasks or to just grab a quick bite to eat. In any case, it is a good choice for someone who needs a tablet for everyday use.

Use a ThinkPad that is thin and light.
