This is quite an impressive announcement from FIFA 21, and it’s one that’s well overdue. FIFA 20 would have been a great game if it was released a year ago, before other sports games got to the point where our friends in the US and Canada were able to have their own tournaments and championships that feature professional team play and a whole lot more. FIFA 21 continues that trend, and so far, I’ve enjoyed myself immensely. The game looks fantastic. I’m even starting to think about the next FIFA game, FIFA Ultimate Team.

FIFA 21 is being billed as the “World Cup of Football”, which is pretty interesting. The World Cup of Football is one of the few “major sports” that you can’t skip if you just look at it in the context of football games. All of the big names in the games – Brazil, Argentina, England, Spain, France, Russia, Mexico and Australia – feature in the games, and in my eyes, it’s the best thing about the game’s presentation that it isn’t overly complicated. The gameplay seems to be straightforward enough. The game has the potential to be great, but I’m already bored of watching matches of big-name teams in a tournament. I feel like I’m watching the Olympics or something, which I don’t really like. I’m also worried that FIFA is becoming out of date with what I’m used to seeing in a game, and I don’t mind the graphics, mechanics or gameplay in the slightest.

This is a major step forward for FIFA, and I feel like I’ve spent many hours just talking about the new game, and I’ve already forgotten most of the things I had to say. After reading the announcement, I’m thinking “oh this is how they’ll go forward”. As a matter of fact, I don’t know what this means, and I can’t wait to see how it ends.

I’ve played FIFA before, and I’d say my experience with it hasn’t been too bad.

In the last few years, the “English-speaking commentator” tag has become a common one for those who’ve dedicated a career to a job that requires proficiency in English; from players who have “commentating” for English-language games, or the broadcast of English-language matches, to those who have taken on a general role, or become a “commentator”, in English-language-related projects.

I decided to do exactly that. On Tuesday, a day after the 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off in Russia, I started as a FIFA official commentator, for the next 15 months, on English broadcasts.

I’m happy to announce that for the next 15 months, I will be a FIFA official referee for the English Premier League, and for England as a whole.

The video above was apparently filmed during a match with Barcelona at Camp Nou on the 22nd of May. A few moments into the clip, you can see an opponent and a referee walking down the pitch. The camera pans around the pitch, and you can see both referee and player walking down. The referee then stands with his hands on his hips for a few seconds until the player runs past him. When he reaches the other end of the pitch, the camera pans back to the player and the referee. Then you can see the player take a quick shot at the referee. This is followed by a few seconds of the player running up to him and a few steps to the ball before the shot is thrown. From there, the ball is sent across the field straight to the net. All in all, it’s pretty entertaining.
