In addition, credit-monitoring mechanisms are based on the assumption that the personal information of the patient’s customers and suppliers can be protected from misuse and abuse, so long as their financial information remains within the limits established by the medical group. Medical Group credit-monitoring and identity theft protection systems are, therefore, based on a number of assumptions, two of which are critical to the success of this system, which has been termed the “credit-monitoring” or “financial protection” approach.
