On Monday we announce partnerships with three leading antivirus software developers, adding to our long list of alliances and partnerships. A few weeks ago we announced our partnership with Sophos, a leader in anti-virus software. With the announcement of these partnerships, we are once again expanding our partnership with two of the leaders in antivirus software. We are also announcing our alliance with Rapid7, an excellent company with an enviable reputation. Together we plan to provide the same level of support and resources to each of our partners. Both Sysdig and Cybereason use Rapid7’s best practices and best practices for software support.
Since the announcement of our alliance with our first two partners, we have been expanding our reach. One of our first announcements was an increase from $200 to $250 membership fee for our first two partners. Today we made another expansion. The new version of Rapid7 allows members the chance to purchase a single membership and be able to sign up for their own Rapid7 users as well.
With the increase in revenue from the new memberships, we have also increased our commitment to continuing to provide security updates, maintain our network stability and speed, and even provide additional testing to the antivirus software our members can use.
Also, we are pleased to announce the new partnership we have with Sophos. Our partnership began almost two years ago when we signed a partnership agreement with Sophos. In April, 2012, Sophos released their free antivirus software. Since then, other companies have released similar packages. Sophos has worked closely with us for over 10 years, offering both in-house support, and our partner program, which allows us to offer a subscription that doesn’t eat up our resources. We plan to keep this partnership going for years to come.
We recently expanded our partnership with Rapid7. These are just a few examples of the growth in our alliance. We look forward to the growth as we continue to provide you with a strong threat management tool that will help you in your business.
Deals on Bolstering Security Capabilities
For the past three years, the U. Department of Defense has awarded a total of seven contracts to companies as part of the Cyber Defense Systems Enhancement Partnership program – all of which have a contract length of 10 years. Of these seven contracts, two years have a contract for a total of $2,000,000. In addition, two contracts have not yet been awarded, and two have been awarded. The Department of Defense is seeking an additional $15 million in FY20. All seven contracts were awarded in a two-year period from the fall of 2010 through the fall of 2015, a total of seven contracts valued at $2,000,000 each. As a result of these awards, the department plans to continue to grow the contract program and begin building out the capabilities it is building for the 21st century. As you can see, this is a very powerful program, and it can be a key lever of defense for the United States.
This report presents the awards, the contracts and the expected deliverables for these seven projects. All of the projects are directed at enhancing the cyber security of the United States. For example, the DOD is working with the Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency to develop a new program to identify critical vulnerabilities within critical infrastructure, especially telecommunications networks. The DOD is also working with the National Security Agency, to develop the Next Generation Cyber Operations Center. The DOD will also be working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as with other government agencies, to develop new cybersecurity solutions that can be deployed rapidly to the government to address today’s nation security challenges.
