The “coronavirus” (“Covid‐19”) is a respiratory disease caused by multiple coronaviruses, including SARS‐CoV‐2 and MERS‐CoV. The new coronavirus originated from bats in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. It was first identified in November 2019 and caused a “pandemic” in December 2019. The human‐to‐human transmission of bat coronavirus disease (BCoV) has been observed in humans and ferrets, and thus, has been associated with the novel coronavirus. During the recent outbreak, BCoV was first spread from a patient to another by an infected person who shared a common bathroom with the patient, and later it spread in people by direct contact with an infected person or their respiratory droplets. BCoV spread among humans and in animal environments can facilitate the transmission of SARS‐CoV‐2 between people and animals, leading to increased transmission of the virus. The spread of the virus in a community is still a key factor, but the spread of the virus in a closed community is also a key factor.

The BCoV causes acute pneumonia, and the recovery period is short (5–7 days) after admission or discharge ([@bib0001]).
