Apple Announces New Mac Pro and iPad in October 2014
Apple will soon offer its own portable, it seems. The company on Tuesday revealed it will launch a new Mac computer in October 2014. Then it will release a new iPad, called the 10.
This new Mac will cost $999.
As for what the new Mac will look like, it will have a 16- or 32-gigabyte hard drive and 1GHz processor, Apple said. Both the Mac Pro and iMac will have Thunderbolt ports and be available with a single USB Type-C plug.
It’s not clear whether the new Mac will be designed for professional photographers, who will need a Mac Pro, or for home users who need a Mac Mini. The price for the Mac Pro is unknown.
The new Mac will come only in a silver or gold color with a black chassis, and it will run Mac OS X Yosemite.
This new Mac will not replace or be a cheaper Mac, Apple said. While you can buy Macbooks with a screen as small as the iPhone 6 Plus, it should become clear that Apple is not offering a cheaper Mac model.
