Xbox Live Gold Plus – Is It a Good Idea?

Xbox Live Gold Plus - Is It a Good Idea?

So we’ve learned that the new Xbox 360 console will offer both the current Xbox Live Gold package and a new “free” digital video subscription service for Xbox Live Gold subscribers called “Xbox Live Gold Plus. ” The new service will be a tiered system, in which free Xbox Live Gold Plus subs will benefit from the new service for the first year, then a limited paid-for service will be offered for the remaining three years.

I know this has been a big rumor on here for awhile, and from the information that Microsoft has disclosed so far, Xbox Live Gold is being planned for a 2012 release; however, I still think it’s worth pointing out that a beta testing period to see how well the service is received will be required. That’s the only way you’ll ever know if it’s a good idea or not.

I can see a scenario where the service is so new that Microsoft hasn’t made sure that the service is receiving the amount of “good will” that will be necessary to convince people to pay for it (see: Sony’s PlayStation Now), but I think it’s more realistic to ask Microsoft how it plans to turn a free, ad-supported video service into a paid subscription product. After all, it’s easier to sell a service than it is to sell a DVD.

I suspect that we’ll see the Xbox Live Gold Plus service launching with a subscription rate similar to the current Xbox Live Gold package, where the Xbox Live Gold subscriber can subscribe for as low as $19. Then after a year or two, Microsoft will start to offer “cushion pricing” (a new price) to the base Xbox Live Gold plan. After awhile, I don’t think you’ll be able to get a membership rate that’s lower than $19. 99 per month. Eventually, if people can’t get enough of the Xbox Live Gold plan, Microsoft will release all of the Xbox Live Gold Plus service at the same price.

The big issue with free Xbox Live is that the Xbox Live Gold Plus service might actually become too popular to keep it free. It’s likely that with just the current Xbox Live Gold, people will spend a significant amount of extra money in order to use the service. If they do, they may choose to add more to their Xbox Live Gold subscription, which would be a significant revenue loss.

At some point in the future, Xbox Live Gold will be dropped.

Xbox Live (or XBLA) is an online social network where gamers can play online games. Its user base currently stands at over 200 million worldwide, and more than 80 million active members are part of the Xbox Live community. To support this growth, Microsoft developed XBLA for Xbox 360 and online. Xbox Live currently offers Xbox Live Arcade, Xbox Live Arcade games, Xbox Live Gold, and Xbox Live Gold subscriptions.

In late 2011, one day before the launch of Xbox Live Gold, Microsoft will be preparing for the drop of the Xbox Live Gold. This announcement was made through the announcement of the Xbox Live Silver and Gold memberships that are available to all Xbox Live Gold members. At some point in the future, Xbox Live Gold will be dropped. For now, you can use your Gold membership to redeem rewards.

On Microsoft’s Xbox Live, you will be able to access Gold Memberships and Xbox Live Gold. Xbox Live Gold provides you the opportunity to redeem Xbox Live Points and Gold membership benefits, and in order to get to the Gold Membership level, you will need to complete the Xbox Live Silver Membership level, and on Xbox Live Gold, you will be able to redeem your Gold Membership.

Xbox Live Gold includes all of the benefits you would expect from an Xbox Live Gold membership such as Gold points, Gold and Silver memberships, exclusive content such as exclusive games and content from Xbox Live, and more. Furthermore, the Xbox Live Gold membership costs $9. 99 a month and you will receive Gold and Silver memberships every month. In addition, Xbox Live Gold members get all of the Gold membership benefits. Xbox 360 owners who subscribe to the Xbox Live Gold service are also automatically enrolled in Xbox Live Gold.

The Xbox Live Gold membership will be dropping on November 29th.

Xbox Live is only available to registered Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Gold members, and is only accessible to those who have an Xbox Live Gold online account (see below).

Why Microsoft isn’t dropping Live Gold?

Why Microsoft isn’t dropping Live Gold? | Computer Games. [Editor’s Note: The following article is the second part of a story by Eric C. Davis, Managing Editor of PC Gamer UK. ] Read the first part here.

Microsoft have created some pretty impressive game titles through the years which have been available on the Xbox. Among these are Tomb Raider, Halo 2, Dead Space and The Witcher. But is Microsoft really going to launch a ‘Live’ service? In a survey conducted by PC Gamer UK, the answer was no.

The Live service is a fairly recent addition, intended to compete with PC gaming on consoles. Although it’s been in development for about six months, we’ve yet to receive any official word from Microsoft. Even if they do announce their plans for a Live service, they’re unlikely to have any time at all. It would be too much of a risk for us to trust what we’d heard.

We’d prefer not to be a party to any potential announcement. It would mean we’d be unwittingly helping Microsoft develop a service which undermines gaming as a whole. But we also don’t want to risk that.

It is said that Xbox Live is designed for gamers not developers, and that the gamers may be playing those titles, but not making money from them. With the launch of Microsoft’s Kinect sensor, it is going to be harder and harder for them to get gamers to spend money on their games.

It’s too soon to say.

They also indicated that they were going to add a ‘live’ feature later on this year. A live service would mean that developers would be able to publish content and then download the content to their users. Developers can upload the content to the Live service on the same device that the user is playing on.

The Live service would be a great experience for gamers. Microsoft has stated that the Live service would be easier for developers to get content to their users. However, this would mean that less content would be available for gamers. It would be a simple change, however, to make it easier for developers to get content onto their users.

Xbox Live Gold price changes and an animal shelter

This week’s Xbox Live update adds a number of new features and changes to the Xbox Live Gold subscription service, and introduces new price changes for some Xbox Service Plans, including the $20/month OneDrive One and OneDrive One Plus plans. In addition, Xbox Live Gold members will get a free year of Xbox Live Silver as part of Microsoft’s Xbox One X Enhanced Preview.

OneDrive for Gold members and OneDrive for Silver members will also get Xbox Live Movie Pass this week. As always, the Xbox One X and Xbox One Gaming X improvements that Microsoft detailed today are only available to customers who have a Gold or Silver Xbox Live Subscription. For more information about which plan you would like to upgrade to, or about what Xbox Live Gold and Xbox One Silver members will see, visit the Xbox Blog.

The price changes also affect Xbox One games. In addition to the $6/month subscription price increase for all Xbox One games and games purchased from the Store, a new $6/month subscription price will be available to all customers who have an Xbox One. Xbox One games purchased from the Play Store will also be $6/month for the time being, instead of $7.

Microsoft also announced changes to the Xbox Live Community program for Xbox One players. Xbox Live Community is now a member-only subscription option, and those already on the Xbox Live Gold membership will continue to receive all the features available to Xbox One members. Those without an Xbox Live Gold membership will be able to use Xbox Live Community as if they are Xbox One members. Xbox Live Community will be available for free on Xbox One at launch.

The Xbox Live update also introduces the ability to create groups using the Xbox One Community tool. Groups will be available for purchase via Xbox Live Marketplace within 24 hours. You must have a Gold or Silver account to purchase memberships for your groups. Xbox Live Community members will also have access to Xbox Live’s entire service library of games, games and apps, as well as all the games in the Xbox One Store — including all games not yet available to play on the Xbox One.

Tips of the Day in Computer Games

Welcome to today’s tips of the day… Today’s column will be posted on a new site: ICT4S. The goal of this site is to give users a look at our games, look at features and game design, and find out what to expect from the team. For example, if a developer is interested in changing an aspect of a game, or adding new features, we might be willing to tell you about our plans. But don’t expect these things to happen on this site.

We still love the old methods for getting news, forums, contests, etc. out there, and we’re planning to keep those things going. But as of right now, we’ll be focusing the bulk of our efforts on games we think are important and that give you something to enjoy. We hope you’re on board. The site’s called ICT4S, and we hope you’ll join us.

Don’t try to make a game be “the next Halo”.

There’s no way you can play Halo or Counter Strike or some other game with every weapon with the exception of your favorite hammer.
