CLIMB: A Comprehensive Brand-Building Program for WKU Athletics

The WKU community has endured a long and winding road. WKU has endured a significant and costly transformation in Athletics over the last three-and-a-half years, but the progress has been slow at times.
There is no doubt that the WKU Athletics Department has made considerable progress, but there is also no question that some areas are still in need of substantial renovations, and some elements of the Athletics culture are still in need of overhaul.
As the 2018-19 academic year quickly approaches, many questions still remain about some of the elements of Athletics culture, and the university has some work to do to address them.
As part of an effort to build on the progress since last fall, a comprehensive brand-building program has been introduced. This initiative aims to build strong connections between WKU Athletics and the rest of the University.
Building stronger connections between WKU Athletics and the rest of the University will help maintain the University’s top academic rankings, enhance their reputation for being a top-tier, comprehensive school, and create an environment where WKU Athletics feels at home.
• Expand communication between Athletics and the College of Education.
The WKU Board of Regents created this initiative in partnership with WKU Athletics, the University Provost’s Office, the WKU College of Education, and the WKU Athletic Department.
“The intent of the WKU Brand-Building Initiative is to engage the entire WKU community in a common goal of ‘Building a WKU Brand,’” said Board of Regents Chair Deborah A. “This will help to establish a strong foundation for the rest of the University.
As part of the program, WKU Athletics will receive information, resources, and support to build a stronger, sustainable presence in our social media channels. WKU Athletics will also gain more opportunities to enhance their image with the WKU community.

Using INFLCR to Maximize Student Athletes’ NIL Rights

INFLCR can be used to connect student athletes with potential ways to monetize their NIL rights. Every transaction and transaction that is made through INFLCR will be reviewed by WKU Compliance Staff and negotiations made outside of INFLCR will also be documented. “This new partnership with Western Kentucky will have a massive impact as we approach the NIL era with Hilltopper athletics fully using INFLCR Verified for all teams and student athletes,” in a press release in Indiana General Corp. Hilltoppers will be equipped with the resources and guidance to maximize the opportunities coming from NIL very soon, along side our INFLCR Plus team.
