Tips of the Day in Computer Hardware

This week’s Topic of the Day is VGA and, unfortunately, we haven’t seen much time to cover the topic in particular this week. Why is that? A lot of new motherboards come out with Intel VGA slots now, but as far as I know, only two VGA controllers are supported. The other VGA controllers are connected through a serial port, and only through an A20/20G. The VGA DDC controller is connected through a Serial A20/A22 port to VGA cards. The only VGA controller capable of directly interfacing through the serial port is the A20/AC4 and A20/AC5 VGA controllers. These are both supported through the A20/10 port, so we can connect these directly to any VGA card.
