The IMPACT Slammiversary Pay-Per-View
A couple weeks ago, word got out about the upcoming IMPACT Wrestling live event that would take place on Saturday. It’s going to be a live taping in Las Vegas, in the building known to be used for a UFC event and a WWE event, the Bellagio. The building where the UFC and WWE were filming the UFC event was sold by MGM, which was bought out by AT&T.
If you were lucky enough to have bought a ticket to the event, it’s going to be an awesome night for a lot of reasons. For those of you who aren’t aware of the events that go on around IMPACT, one of the major events that it’s going to be going to is The Monster Ball. The Monster Ball is something that has been a huge event for IMPACTS for a while now. It’s the PPV event, which is what the PPV event is called. During the event, there are six men that are going to compete in a variety of different matches, and they are going to go into them with the intent of winning.
The winner of The Monster Ball is going to get his or her name announced on the show in the main event.
For those of you who don’t know what the Monster Ball is, it is a “Punk Fest”, like the infamous St. Valentine’s Day Bash that took place last year. It is where a large amount of talent from the world of wrestling comes together and is put to the test for their talent. From there on out, the competitors that are going to fight against each other in different matches is always something that is going to be something that is going to be something that people are going to pay attention to. You’re going to see who is the best tag team, you’re going to see who is the best baby face, you’re going to see who can get the most submission or anything else that has to do with getting the “Punk”.
When you get to the venue, that is a lot of cool stuff going on. There are giant signs that says “LIVE ROOM”, “NXT”, and “SCHEDULE” and a lot of other cool stuff for people to see.

A few months ago, I talked about how much I appreciated that I was paid to program. It was an incredible feeling when I was finally starting to build my first game and my first professional programming project. I was so proud of my work.
I’ve been coding for years, but the feeling I got at the time just blew my mind. I remember playing with the idea of making a new RPG game in my head for days. I knew it had to be a role-playing game, because it was the closest thing I could think of to what I wanted to accomplish. While my friends in high school played games that were more action oriented, I was making that type of game, and I knew it had to be a fantasy game, because that was the game I was really good at.
Some players have found the game I made a while back so entertaining they want to play it again. I’m one of those people. I’m glad to be able to share it with people.

I’ve seen other programmers use pay to program events, which is a similar idea to what I was trying to do with my first game.

Tips of the Day in Programming
This week was very much a combination of both C-level programming and C++ programming challenges. This week, we’ll look at the differences between working in C and C++, and what the differences mean to the overall complexity of the code.
This week’s programming challenge was to find a way to implement a function, that gets the data that’s in a list, into a string. The string is “like” the list, but has some additional information.
This code will look a lot prettier and cleaner if it’s all in one file, rather than 10 separate files.
This week, we have to do a lot with string literals. We cannot simply store a string in a variable the way we would for integers or floats. A string has the ability to hold many things: characters, characters, characters, characters. We’ll need to do a lot of work to make this code work, and in doing that, we will need to work hard on our string literals.
