The Blackmagic Zoom camera uses a CCD sensor with a 0. 33μm pixel size for a larger image area than the conventional CCD sensors available at this time. For the Zoom 1. 2, the image area at this time is 0. 42μm square and for the Zoom 1. 45μm square.
