The New York Stage and Film SANCTUARY Program

The New York Stage and Film Clinic is a joint venture between the New York Stage and Film Foundation (NYSFF) and the New York Film Theater (NYFT). The purpose of the Clinic is to provide free, one-time, educational seminars, critiques, and workshops for professional stage and film theatre artists in preparation for new productions and as a springboard to new work.

Featuring lectures, critiques, workshops, and films by notable directors and/or playwrights.

The program is for professionals, professionals-in-training, and anyone with an interest in theatre.

The Clinic is designed to provide valuable resources for the theatre artist, with a special emphasis on work that has not yet been seen, and that the artist may not have had the opportunity to create in a professional capacity in the past (or even with the knowledge that they could).

The New York Stage and Film Clinic takes place twice every year. There is a spring application deadline.

The Clinic and the Fall Annual Lecture are co-curated by John D’Arcy, Artistic Director of the New York City Arts Council.
