In this article I’ll focus on Plex’s unique, single-instance nature, allowing its users to deploy their applications without any additional infrastructure. As a developer, I always had a problem with “I” but not an “I” issue with “we.
Every day, a new thing I’d hear about would be “We want to build something now. The problem is that we don’t have the time. ” Or “We have two months to finish the game. ” Or “We don’t have the budget to build a new game.
So I’d start on something and feel like it’d be too hard, so I’d give up.
But then something would come along and change my thinking. I’m trying out something new and it seems like it’ll work well.
Then I would find myself in a situation where either I thought “OK, we’re building an MMO for fun” or “We don’t want to work on an MMO.
I’d go back to the MMO game and feel just a little bit better about it.
Then the idea would come to me. Maybe work on the game, but I’ll do it from a different angle. I can work in a different area of the game.
