TELESIS, a division of Microsoft, today announced the release of the first version of the Microsoft Azure Intelligent Software Defined Networking engine for Windows Server 2012.

Software defined networking (SDN) in the Windows Server 2012 platform introduces a new way for customers to deliver their solutions using Microsoft’s next-generation SD N, the Azure Intelligent Software Defined Networking engine for Windows Server 2012. With the Azure Intelligent Software Defined Networking engine, customers can deploy, create, and manage Microsoft SD N solutions without worrying about server and network operational requirements. SDN in the Windows Server 2012 will allow customers to focus on providing IT services, creating the next generation of IT agility that is needed today.

“The Microsoft Azure Intelligent Software Defined Networking engine for Windows Server 2012 supports both software-defined and network-defined solutions in the cloud.

Smart Home Energy Management –

This is a network based smart home energy management system that allows users to remotely monitor and remotely control the flow of electricity to a building, and also remotely view power usage data. The network also includes the ability to remotely control appliances.

Smart home energy management is a set of devices used to remotely monitor and remotely control the flow of electricity to a building. Currently the focus is on the monitoring and control of energy use. This system does not allow for remote view of power usage.

In essence power management is a management of energy consumption. For example in a refrigerator the energy used may be measured and for energy efficiency it can be estimated. In other words it is a management of energy in a given situation.

For example in a refrigerator the energy used may be measured and for energy efficiency it can be estimated. In other words it is a management of energy in a given situation. The Smart Home Energy Management System (SHEMS), allows users to remotely monitor the flow of electricity to a building and to remotely control appliances with a Smart Home Energy Management System Controller (SHCS). With SHEMS the flow of electricity (voltage or power) can be monitored by the user and then the power used can be remotely controlled by the user. The power could be used in the home, the building, a facility or the building-equipment via a network.

The Smart Home Energy Management System Controller (SHCS) is an integrated control module that is able to monitor the power flowing in and out of an appliance and to control these flows. It has an On-Off switch that turns the electricity consumption on or off. The system operates as a software program. By selecting an appliance from the list, the controller enables the use of an appliance, and controls the consumption of energy in a given period.

The flow of electricity is monitored by the network device (sensor, controller, the like), and the power consumption is monitored by the controller (or the like).
