To better understand your Mac’s battery, you have two options – either you use the command line (or the Terminal) to open /Applications/Utilities/Battery Monitor and look at the battery, or you use the built-in utility Battery Inspector to open the battery panel of your Mac, use the up down arrow keys to cycle through the indicators and look at the remaining battery capacity.
