In 2016, the Iowa Irish Fest Gala was the largest and most extensive event of its type, attracting the attention of everyone involved with the film festival/comic-con industry. The Gala was a huge success and the organizers are planning for it to be the largest in history. The Gala will be held at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in the Iowa City, Iowa, across from the Iowa State Fairgrounds Museum and across the street from the National Museum of Science and History’s (NMSH) Iowa City Science Center. The Gala will be the first in the new Festival Hall which is expected to open in the new year. The Gala will include three events and a special screening of a new comedy film. The Gala will be on Friday night with a dinner-function to follow and a panel on Saturday. The Gala will feature two new attractions, a “Theater of the Mind” in which you can go and see the film you just saw or a “Ticketing Experience” which is to be in the form of a “Gift Card” at the food trucks. The Gala will be held at the International Gateway to Heterodox Art (the Irish Fest is a one-day event where artists from all over the world come together from many different countries to create art/works and to present it for all to see). Tickets will go on sale next week and they will be priced according to how many attendees there are, so come early or stay later to get the lowest priced tickets. Tips of the Day in Computer Hardware
In a few years time, the market for video games will be dominated by games for the PC.
I see a future where games become smaller and lower cost, the games in question being arcade and console games. This is not the future we’re currently envisioning, but it’s coming anyway because the gaming community is more than willing to pay big money for titles.
The question was actually answered when I took a couple notes from my session. I actually wrote the question to one person and one person wrote my answer. In hindsight, I think this is where my thinking went wrong.
I think that once the video game industry adopts a console model, a small industry of game developers will go away. They may be replaced by people who are already making games for consoles (console dev-team), but I do think that the consoles will continue to be successful due to a number of factors.
