Dashlane was created by a security researcher based out of Michigan in 2011 and since then has become a go-to product for Android users struggling with login security across multiple browser-based operating systems. Because the Dashlane Android app doesn’t have anything to do with Chrome for Android. The team from the Chrome for Android Security team decided to create a new product to replace it. Although many users will undoubtedly appreciate the improved user experience with a more streamlined Dashlane for Android, they were looking for a good substitute for Chrome for Android. They were looking for a service that would be able to provide a simple and elegant login interface that would support all major platforms and run on multiple devices. To find such a product, the Dashlane team knew they had to go beyond simply being a Chrome based security product to also provide a service that could be used across all the operating systems. They had been hoping to find a product that would work across multiple platforms. They had spent enough time and money to get their hands on Chrome for Android and found that it was a perfect vehicle to develop a secure extension. So that is what they did. The Dashlane Android app was created as a Chrome for Android extension. It was created using modern and safe coding techniques such as using HTTPS, HTML5, Java, and Cordova. It was also created using the latest and greatest JavaScript and HTML5 features. The Dashlane Android app is a Chrome extension that acts as the same service as Dashlane. The Dashlane Android app is a product for Android users who are concerned with the security of their Chrome browser on Android which is the most popular operating system in the world. If the mobile device is wireless, the authentication process can be accomplished without using the Dashlane Authentication component.
